The ideal candidate will have 10 years experience in appraisal and development, exploration an advantage. A strong technical background in well design and onshore field operations is essential. The personal characteristics to deliver exceptional performance include personal initiative and adaptability while being a team player that can provide a customer focus is required. The candidate must have commitment to safety, diversity and respect for individuals, as well as a desire to seek and apply appropriate technology. • Experienced in Drilling Engineering and operations including well design, well engineering, directional drilling, time and cost estimating, writing of drilling programs, and offshore well operations. • Expertise in horizontal well drilling and fraccing in tight reservoirs from both operations and well design • Strong appreciation of formation damage issues and mitigation for tight reservoirs • Works well with others in a multi-discipline and multi-company team environment. Conducts themselves professionally with partner and government representatives and national employees. • Good organizational and engineering /analytical skills. Holds self & others accountable for performance. Nurtures professional growth of self and others (provides and seeks mentoring). • Strong verbal & written communication skills. Ability to speak French fluently. Ability to discuss and explain highly technical issues with technical as well as a non-technical audience in both English and French.
